Dathanna na Scoile School Colours

Is iad dearg agus liath dathanna oifigiúla Ghaelscoil Philib Barún. Úsáidtear na dathanna i suaitheantas na scoile, ar éide scoile agus i gcomhfhreagras oifigiúil uilig na scoile. Roghnaíodh an scéim dhaite dhearg agus liath chun idirdhealú a dhéanamh idir na scéimeanna daite in úsáid ag na scoileanna eile i dTrámhór.

The official colours of Gaelscoil Philib Barún are red and grey, both of which feature in the design of the school crest and uniform, and in all official school correspondence. The red/grey colour scheme was chosen to set the school apart from the colour schemes used by other schools in Tramore.

Suaitheantas na Scoile School Crest

School Crest Patrún ciorclach de snaidhmeanna mara (i ndathanna na scoile) mórthimpeall ar an bhfocal ‘Gaelscoil’ atá mar shainthréith an suaitheantais. Usáidtear íomhá an eich uisce chun an ‘s’ san fhocal ‘Gaelscoil’ a léiriú. Tá dathanna an phátrúin fite fuaite le chéile chun nádúr dhátheangach na scoile a chur in iúl. Leiríonn an t-each uisce suíomh farraige na Trá Móire. Dhear Deirdre Uí Mhaidín agus Risteard O Murchú an suaitheantas i 1985.

The school crest (shown over) features a circular platted pattern (in the school colours) surrounding the word Gaelscoil which contains an image of a seahorse as the ‘s’ in it. The interchanging colours of the pattern symbolize the bi-lingual nature of the school and the seahorse represents Tramore’s seaside location. The crest was designed in 1985 by Deirdre Uí Mhaidín and Dick Murphy.
